Coach Anderson over many years has practiced several styles of Martial Arts. From TKD, Muay Thai, Kyokushin Karate, Jeet Kune Do and American Boxing to form the style of the Bludgeon Brigade fight team. I am a stand up coach.
The Bludgeon Brigade was formed due to the death of my best friend, Clifton Clemons, I called him my brother. His passing was caused by bludgeon force. I then decided that my talents would go into training people in hopes that people would be able to protect themselves in aggressive situations.
I have offered my time to women shelters for abused women and children, anti-bullying classes under my JKD instructor Sifu Parsons. I have also led a fight team to 14-0 record. One of my students holds 3 local Kickboxing titles in two different venues. I treat everyone like family and I try to instill that environment and family values into my students. Truth, trust and hard work. My motto is,It sucks to suck, but it's a great day to be great!! (Thank my daughter, Alexis for that). I truly enjoy helping people get healthy, lose weight, stay in shape, and become empowered.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts
At SPA CITY BJJ we teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts and Submission Wrestling. At the core of our system is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the most in demand Martial Art style in the United States.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Japanese for "Art of Gentleness") is a cutting edge Martial Art style, perfected by the legendary Gracie Family in Brazil. Jiu-Jitsu employs the use of holds, chokes, throws, joint-locks, kicks, and strikes.
Although students initially learn Jiu-Jitsu techniques one at a time, the essence of Jiu-Jitsu is the ability to flow quickly from one technique to another to control an attacker. This style allows for a smaller person to defeat a much larger attacker.
Jiu-Jitsu is excellent for women who are often taken to the ground during assaults. We recommend this style for men, women, and children looking for a great workout and realistic self-defense.

Jason Morris started his Judo Journey in 1975 at the age of 8 and retired after his fourth appearance at the Olympics in 2000. Jason's competition career spanned 26 years.
Included among the many awards and titles Jason won is a Silver medal in the 1992 Olympics and a Bronze medal at the 1993 World Championships.

22 Years of experience in mixed Martial Arts, with Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and Red Belt in Tang So Do. Trained with Navy Seals in Coronado, CA. Attended Chuck Norris kickboxing school in Huntington Beach, CA. and trained with Team Punishment, and a variety of experts including Chuck Norris, Jeff Speakman, Ed Parker Jr., Bas Rutten, Matt Hughes, and Tri Star Gym American Top Team. Worked for the IFL Fight Team until their demise in 2008.
I've taught hundreds of people from children to adults martial arts, including self defense, kickboxing, and Muay Thai, and Seal Team work-outs for NYS Teachers Association, Gold's Gym, Saratoga Fight Club, NY Boxing and LA Boxing. I have helped many personal training clients achieve their fitness and weight loss goals. Martial arts are a big part of my life, and I love teaching it to others.
Jeet Kune Do & Ip Man Wing Chun Kung Fu
Sifu Jonathan Parsons currently instructs classes in the art of Jeet Kune Do as was taught to him by the late Sifu Ted Wong. Sifu Ted Wong was Bruce Lee's private and top student during the development of Jeet Kune Do. By learning from Sifu Wong, Sifu Parsons brings this legacy of teaching to the next generation of Jeet Kune Do practitioners.
Sifu Parsons (head Jeet Kune Do and Ip Man Wing Chun Kung Fu instructor)is also a student of Ip Man Wing Chun Kung Fu under Master Tony Massengill. While still new to this systems Sifu Parsons has excelled and is able to instruct at this time beginning level Ip Man Wing Chun and has the approval of the Ip man Wing Chun Union to authenticate and guide him through to senior level instruction.
In September 1980 Jonathan joined the United States Marine Corps and continued training while in the service. He also instructed classes on hand to hand combat to military personnel. Jonathan received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps in June of 1983. Once leaving the Marines Sifu Parsons remained very active in the martial arts and turned his attention to Jeet Kune Do. He trained under Sifu Lamar Davis founder of the United States Jeet Kune Do Alliance and Hardcore Jeet Kune Do Fighting System from 1990 to 1994. In 1994, Jonathan had the chance to meet Sifu Ted Wong and continue on his journey and knowledge of Jeet Kune Do training under Sifu Wong who was a close personnel friend and training partner of the late Bruce Lee. Sifu Wong was world renown for his skill and expertise in the art of Jeet Kune Do and was also a founding member of the Bruce Lee foundation and a close friend of the Lee family.
Since 1993 Sifu Parsons has hosted seminars in the Upstate NY area and taught seminars on the art of Jeet Kune Do. Sifu Parsons has also taught numerous seminars on women's self defense and battered women/rape crisis victims. He has also taught and trained many local NY State troopers and sheriff's departments on situational diffusion and area awareness.
The objective of learning the martial arts besides the obvious of learning to defend one's self is also to; build character, integrity, learn to focus, self discipline, mental and physical development. With patience and practice all these attributes can be accomplished through the martial arts.
